KROZU, Inc. (“KROZU,” “we” or “us”) provides this Privacy Policy (“Policy”) to inform you about our practices concerning the collection, use and disclosure of your information. By accessing or using the KROZU website (Krozu.com) (the “Site”) and KROZU’s applications, including, but not limited to, the KROZU offering comprising a variety of tools, features and functionalities pertaining to workflow and project management which includes but not limited to productivity, collaboration and organizational tools and solutions; that are accessible and available online, including mobile application and website including (the collective, “Services”) but not limited to krozu.com (the “website”), you agree to the information practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy, you may not access or use the Services. Your use of the Services is also subject to the terms of the KROZU Terms of Service. Capitalized terms used herein but not defined have the definitions assigned to them in the KROZU Terms of Service.
What this policy explains
We are extremely cognizant of your privacy and how important it is to us, thus bearing this recognition of the importance of privacy, we are serious in our action of being transparent about how we collect, use and share information about you. The content of the KROZU Privacy Policy is put forth in this document to help you better understand what and how information about you is collected, used and protected.
This Policy covers the information we collect about you when you are a user (“Collaborator”) of the management tools or Services offered by KROZU or may have other opportunity, as applicable, to interact with us. As such this Policy will prevail unless a different policy is provided.
This Policy also delineates upon what choices you may have concerning how we use information about you, which include options available for you to object to certain uses of information about you and how you are able to access and update certain information about you. If you should not agree with this Policy, do not use KROZU’s Services or interact with other aspects of our business activities.
In circumstances Where KROZU provides the Services under subscription or specific contract with an organization (i.e., an employer) that organization will generally control the information processed by the Services. For more information regarding this instance, please see the specific Policy section at Notification to End Users. This Policy is not applicable to the extent KROZU processes personal information in the role of a processor acting on behalf of such organizations.
1. Information We Collect About You
1.1 Personal Information Defined. KROZU collects information about you when such required information is provided through use of our Services, and when valid circumstances exist when other sources provide such information to us, further elucidated below. In conjunction with the term “Personal Information” as used herein, will refer to and mean information as it relates to a living individual, identifiable from that information or from that information with regard to other referenceable information that is currently in KROZU’s possession, or may come into our possession.
1.2 Account, Profile and Billing Information. KROZU collects information about you when it is provided to us by you when input into KROZU’s provided Services and/or may be otherwise provided directly to KROZU. In general. information about you is collected; if you sign up to register to create an account, modify your profile, set Site preferences and provide your contact and as applicable your billing information with us, included as may be necessary, you will be required to provide us with certain information, including, but not limited to, your name, email address, and account password. If you elect to purchase KROZU’s Services for which respective subscription fees are applicable, you will be asked to provide valid and up-to-date credit card information or other payment information to us or our third-party subscription management provider and/or payment processor. You also have the option to add a display name, profile photo, job and/or position title, as well as other details to your profile information which may be relevant to be displayed at KROZU’s Services. Preferences which you may select within our Services are also kept track of by KROZU. In addition, we also collect information if you contact us for support or help, or otherwise communicate with us.
1.3 Information Collected Through Your Use of the Services. When you visit our website or use the Services, we automatically collect certain information, which may include Personal Information, regarding your access to and use of the website and Services. This information may include, but is not limited to, your IP address, browser type, device type, language, referring website URLs, log files, pages on the website that you visit, and links you click on (collectively, “Usage Information”). We also collect information, including Personal Information, you choose to provide through your use of the Site or Services. When you link an account you have with a third-party website or service to your account with us, we will obtain information, including any Personal Information that you have provided to the third-party website or service, to the extent allowed by your settings with the third-party website or service and as authorized by you.
1.3.1 Content You Provided. KROZU collects and stores content that you post, send, receive and share. This content may comprise information about you which you may have chosen to include. Our Services also include KROZU’s websites which are owned and operated by us. Content you submit to these websites are collected and may include as applicable, but not limited to, feedback you have provided, participation in interactive features, surveys, promotions, activities or events. In addition, information is automatically collected when you use our Services, including browsing our websites and conducting certain actions within KROZU’s Services.
1.3.2 Information You Provided. Information collected from and about you may occur when interacting with KROZU’s customer support, where you have submitted information regarding a problem you have experienced with our Services. You will be asked to provide KROZU with contact information, a summary of the problem you encountered, as well as any information concerning the problem you are experiencing, any documentation, screenshots or other information that would be helpful in resolving the issue.
1.3.3 Information Collected from the Services Use. KROZU keeps track of certain information when you occur to visit and/or interact with the Services KROZU offers. The collected information comprises; features used, links clicked on, attachments uploaded to the Services, search terms frequently used, interaction with other services, used search terms and how you interact with other services. Information is also collected regarding communications with teams and people you work and collaborate with, as well as how you work with them. In addition, we collect information about use of KROZU’s Services and how you use and interact with the features and Services offered at the Site.
1.3.4 Connectivity Information. Information regarding your computer, mobile, tablet or other devices used to access KROZU Services is collected. This information, as applicable, comprises connection type and settings associated with and when you install, access, update or use KROZU Services. In addition, information is collected through your device usage about your operating system, type of browser, IP address, URLs concerning referring and exit pages, device identifiers and data regarding crash information. Your IP address and/or country preference is used to approximate your location and used with the specific intent to provide our Collaborators (users) with a better Services experience. Level and amount of information we may collect is predicated on the type and settings of the device you are using to access KROZU’s Services. You may have the ability to disable the collection of certain information from KROZU’s Services through the administrator settings or prevent information sharing by blocking transmission at the local network.
1.4 Cookies and Similar Technologies. We may utilize certain technologies to recognize you when you use the Services, track your interactions with the Services, and personalize your experience. These include devices such as cookies, web beacons, pixels and similar devices. Cookies are small data files we transfer to your computer hard drive. We utilize some cookies that remain on your computer after you leave the website so that we can recognize you when you return and provide a more personalized and helpful experience. We may also utilize session cookies to enable certain features of the website, to better understand how users interact with the website and monitor use of the website users and web traffic to the website. Session cookies are deleted from your computer when you log off from the website and close your browser. You maintain control over some of the information we collect through the use of cookies, and you can set your preferences regarding the use of cookies through your browser settings. If you choose not to accept cookies, you may not be able to access portions of the website or all functionality of the Services.
1.4.1 Other Information Providers. Other Collaborators using KROZU’s Services may provide information about you when they submit content through use of KROZU’s Services. Additionally, an administrator may provide your contact information upon designating you as the billing or technical contact regarding your company’s account or in the case where they may designate you as an administrator. We may also receive information about you as a result of you or your administrator integrate a third-party app at the KROZU Site. Information may also be collected when you or your administrator integrate KROZU’s Services with other services you are using, such as allowing access, store, share and edit certain content from a third party through KROZU’s Services. For example, when you may have the circumstance to authorize and add a subcontractor to one or more of your activity trees to collaborate with and on your behalf in use of KROZU’s Service activities. The information KROZU receives when you link or integrate KROZU Services with a third-party service may depend on the settings, permissions and privacy policy controlled by the third-party service or entity. As a Collaborator using KROZU’s Services, you should discern the privacy settings and notifications of the third-party services to understand the extent and content of the information which may be disclosed. KROZU may access and/or receive information about you from third-party providers of business information and through valid publicly available sources which may include email addresses, phone numbers, physical mailing addresses, job titles and descriptions, collaborator behavior data, IP addresses and social media profiles, for use in delivering personalized communications, possible event promotions and profiling.
2. Use of Information KROZU Collected
2.1 Account Creation & Billing. KROZU’s use of information collected and submitted by you to us will be dependent upon the KROZU Services you use, how you use them and any specific preferences you have communicated to KROZU. We also use information you have submitted to us at the time of account creation, including Personal Information, and any updated information you subsequently submit, such as a new email address, to create and maintain your account. We use Personal Information and payment information you may provide to us in order to bill you for Services for which Service Fees are applicable.
2.2 Operation and Improvement of our Services. We use your information, including Personal Information, to operate our business and provide the Services to you which may include but not limited to, processing transactions with and for you, the ability to authenticate you when you log onto the Site, provide customer support and operate, maintain and improve KROZU’s Services. We use information to personalize the Services and the experience we provide to you, in order to enhance your level of productivity and optimize your ability to Collaborate effectively with other Collaborators by on-going analysis of the activities conducted by your team, providing search results, activity feeds, notifications, connections and recommendations which are consistent with and have optimal relevance to you and your team. We may use your information to verify your identity, for fraud prevention, to enforce KROZU’s Terms of Service and to protect the integrity of the KROZU website and/or Services. We may also use your information to develop new features, functionalities or Services and to improve the quality of our Services.
2.3 Collaborator Service and Technical Support. We may contact you using the information you provide which may include, but not limited to, communicating through email and within KROZU’s communication Services, in order to respond to comments, inquiries, requests you send to us, provide customer support, technical notifications, to communicate with you regarding our Services, sending a reminder of subscription expiration, and to market our Services to you. We may send you emails advertising or promotional materials regarding our Services. If you do not wish to receive such emails, you can choose to opt-out of receipt using the unsubscribe link within each email or contacting us at . We may also use your information to provide technical assistance, updates, security alerts and administrative messages. KROZU will provide custom communications based upon your activity and interactions at our Site. If you consent, we may communicate with you regarding the services of our partners and to market our partners services to you. If an opt-out is available for certain communications, you can withdraw your consent to receive such communications using the unsubscribe link at those communications, at the specific options at your account settings or contacting us at .
2.4 Promote Usage of KROZU Services. KROZU may use your contact information as well as information about how you conduct activities and how you use the Services KROZU offers to send promotional communications that may be of specific interest to you. This information could be aimed at encouraging KROZU engagement activities and to aid in maximizing what you are able to achieve from using (being a Collaborator) KROZU’s Services, including information and education regarding new features, survey requests and newsletters. KROZU will also provide communications concerning new Services and continued incites on how to better use KROZU. You can maintain control whether you wish to continue to receive these communications as described herewith as further may be noted in the KROZU Privacy Policy, by using the availability of an opt-out of receiving applicable communications at .
2.5 Research and Development. We may use information we collect, other than Personal Information, in conjunction with information which may provide other ways to make our Services more intuitive, faster, possess more integration, enhance security and overall more beneficial to use. Information is also collected and used by KROZU regarding how Collaborators use our Services for the purposes of identifying trends, troubleshooting, usage activity patterns and for areas to improve KROZU’s Services and develop new products, features, functionalities and technologies which will benefit usage by our Collaborators. In addition, we may perform test and analysis activities concerning new features with some Collaborators before providing a “roll out” of such features to all our Collaborators for usage as part of KROZU’s Services offering. We may also obtain information from other users in aggregate form, for our own internal research and analytical purposes.
2.6 Customer Support Information. KROZU may use your information, as applicable, to attempt to resolve any technical issues you may be confronted with, effectively respond to your requests for assistance, including analysis for an occurrence of site crash information and in general, continue to repair, as necessary, and improve KROZU’s overall Services. As may be required, to obtain permission from you in the case where KROZU may have to share your information with a third-party expert in order to optimize response to your support related requests.
2.7 Security and Safety Concerns. KROZU will review and use your information regarding use of our Services for the purpose of verifying your accounts and activity, identify, provide prevention and expeditiously respond to potential or actual incidents of breaches in security; as well as, protecting against malicious, deceptive, fraudulent or other illegal activity which includes noted violations of KROZU Service policies.
2.8 Protections of KROZU Legitimate Business Interests and Legal Rights. As laws may require or where deemed necessary in order to protect KROZU’s legal rights, interests and the interests of other concerned parties, KROZU will use information relating to you concerning connection to legal claims, compliance, regulatory and audit functions and disclosures in conjunction, as applicable with acquisition, merger or sale of a business.
2.9 Consent. KROZU may use information where your permission has been provided for specific situations and purposes which may not be listed above, which may include, but not limited to publishing testimonials and/or feature Collaborator stories to promote KROZU’s Services.
2.10 Legality for Processing Information. Krozu will collect and process information about you only in circumstances where we have legal right to do such in conformity to laws governing your location and jurisdiction. This legal basis may be dependent upon the KROZU Services you use and how you are using them. This may include KROZU’s collection and usage of information about you only where: KROZU needs to provide you Services to operate, customer support and features and functionalities; as well as, provide adequate protections for the safety and securities of the KROZU Services; satisfaction of a legitimate interest, such as for promotion and marketing of KROZU Services; protection of KROZU’s legal rights and business interests; and, for research and development; permission for collection and usage of your information for use in and for specific situations and purposes has been given; and, usage of your information by KROZU in order to comply with a legal directive. You have an option, as applicable, to object to KROZU’s usage of information in some circumstances, even if prior consent was provided by you to do such.
3. Sharing and Disclosure of Collected Information
KROZU wants its Services to work well for you in conformity to your expectations. This may mean sharing information through KROZU Services and as applicable with certain third parties. As such, sharing information collected about you is discussed herewith. KROZU is not in the business or practice of selling information about you to advertising, marketing or other third-party entities.
3.1 Via Provided Consent. KROZU may share your information, including Personal Information, with third parties if you provided us with required authorization to do so or as the situation may necessitate to provide you with Services you have requested. Some features and functionalities of KROZU’s Services may provide you with the option to share information publicly or with specific third parties, in which case we would make such information available in accordance with the options you elect.
3.2 Information Collaboration. Content you have created which may contain information about you, can be given permission by you to be viewed by others to share, edit, copy and downloaded, in conformity to settings you or your administrator, if applicable, have selected. Some of these collaboration features and functionalities of the Services in question may display some or all of your profile information to other Service Collaborators when sharing or interacting with specific content.
3.3 Managed and Administered Accounts. If applicable, and you register or access KROZU’s Services using an email address with a domain that is owned by your employer or organization or associate, that email address with your existing account, and such organization wishes to establish an account or site, certain information about you including your name, profile picture, contact info, content and past use of your account may become accessible to that organization’s administrator and other Service Collaborators sharing the same domain. If you are an administrator for a particular site or group of Collaborators within the Services, we may share your contact information with current or past Service Collaborators, for the purpose of facilitating Service-related requests.
3.4 KROZU Service Providers. KROZU may share your information, including Personal Information, with third-party service providers who assist us in providing the Services and operating our business. This may include third-party subscription management providers and payment processors, analytical services and customer support providers. If KROZU shares your Personal Information with third-party service providers, we require those service providers to maintain confidentiality of the Personal Information that we have provided to them, and to not use the Personal Information we have shared with them for purposes other than the services they are providing to KROZU.
3.5 Responding to Legal Processes Court Directives. KROZU may be legally required to disclose your information, including Personal Information, such as in compliance to a court order, subpoena, lawful demand by a public authority, or similar legal processes.
3.6 Protection of KROZU’s Business, Collaborators or Others. KROZU may disclose your information, including Personal Information, if we believe it is necessary to protect the property and/or rights of KROZU, you, or a third party, to protect the safety of the public or any person, in the event of a legal dispute, or to prevent or stop activity we believe may pose a risk of being illegal, unethical or in violation of KROZU’s Terms of Service.
3.7 Transfers of Business. KROZU may sell, assign, transfer or otherwise share some or all of our assets, including your Personal Information, in connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganization or sale of assets or in an unexpected event such as bankruptcy.
3.8 Links to Third-Party Apps or Sites. You, your administrator, if applicable, or other Service Collaborators may choose to add new functionality or change the behavior of the Services by installing third party apps within the KROZU Services being used. Doing such may give third-party apps access to your account and information about you like your name and email address, and any content you choose to use in connection with those apps. If you are an administrator, or a technical or billing contact listed on an account, KROZU shares your details with the third-party app provider upon installation. Third-party app policies and procedures are not controlled by us, and this privacy policy does not cover how third-party apps use your information. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of third parties before connecting to or using their applications or services, to learn more about their privacy and information handling practices. If you object to information about you being shared with these third parties, please uninstall the app. The KROZU Services may include links that direct you to other websites or services whose privacy practices may differ from ours. If information is submitted by you to any of those third-party sites, your information is governed by their privacy policies, not this KROZU Policy. KROZU encourages you to carefully read the privacy policy of any website you visit and choose to use.
4. Policy Regarding Children.Our Services are not intended for persons under 13 years of age, and we do not knowingly collect Personal Information from persons under 13 years of age. If you are a parent or guardian and believe that your child has provided us with Personal Information without your consent, please contact us at . If we become aware that a person under 13 years of age has provided us with Personal Information, we will delete such information from our files.
5. Security and Storage of Information.KROZU adheres to generally recognized and accepted industry standards to protect the information we collect, maintain and transmit. We have in place commercially reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect Personal Information against accidental or unlawful destruction, accidental loss, unauthorized alteration, unauthorized disclosure or access, misuse, and any other unauthorized form of processing of the Personal Information in our possession. This includes, for example, firewalls, password protection and other access and authentication controls. However, no method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is completely secure. KROZU cannot, and does not, guarantee the security of any information you transmit to us or store on the Services, and you do so at your own risk. We also cannot, and do not, guarantee that such information may not be accessed, disclosed, altered, or destroyed by breach of any of our physical, technical, or administrative safeguards. If you believe your Personal Information has been compromised, please contact us at .
If we learn of a security breach involving your Personal Information, we will inform you of the occurrence of the breach in accordance with applicable law.
5.1 Maintenance of Information. The length of time KROZU keeps information we collect about you depends on the type of information, as described herewith this Policy. After such time, we will either delete or anonymize your information or, if this is not possible (for example, because the information has been stored in backup archives), then we will securely store your information and isolate it from any further use until deletion is possible.
5.2 Account Information. KROZU will retain your account information for as long as your account is active and a reasonable period thereafter discontinuing KROZU Services, in case you decide to re-activate the Services. KROZU also retains some of your information as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, to resolve disputes, to enforce our agreements, to support business operations, and to continue to develop and improve KROZU’s Services. Where KROZU retains information for Services improvement and development, we take steps to eliminate information that directly identifies you, and we only use the information to uncover collective insights about the use of our Services, not to specifically analyze personal characteristics about you.
5.3 Information Shared on KROZU Services. If the circumstance occurs that your account is deactivated or disabled, some of your information and the content you have provided will remain available in order to allow your team members or other Collaborators to make full use of the Services. For example, KROZU will continue to display certain content you provided, but when requested details that can identify you will be removed. If KROZU’s Services are made available to you through an organization such as, your employer, KROZU will retain your information as long as required by the administrator of your account.
6. Accessing and Controlling Your Information
6.1 Your Available Choices. Krozu provides you certain choices available for you to have facility to access your information. You have the right to request a copy of your information from KROZU, to object to our use of your information, to request the deletion or restriction of your information. You can exercise some of the available information access choices by logging into KROZU’s Services and using settings available within the Services or your account. Where the Services are administered for you by an administrator such as your employer, you may need to contact your administrator to assist with your requests first. For all other requests, you may contact us as provided by contacting us at to request assistance. Your request and choices may be limited in certain cases: for example, if fulfilling your request would reveal information about another Collaborator, or if you ask to delete information which we or your administrator are permitted by law or have compelling legitimate interests to keep. Where you have asked us to share data with third parties, for example, by installing third-party apps, you will need to contact those third-party service providers directly to have your information deleted or otherwise restricted. If you have unresolved concerns, you may have the right to complain to a data protection authority in the country where you live, where you work or where you feel your rights were infringed.
6.2 Information Update. KROZU Services and related documentation give you the ability to access and update certain information about you from within the Service. For example, you can access your profile information from your account dashboard and search for content containing information about you using KROZU’s search functionality in the Service. You can update your profile information within your profile settings and modify content that contains information about you using the KROZU’s editing tools associated with that content.
6.3 Account Information Deactivation. If you no longer wish to use KROZU’s Services, you or your administrator may be able to deactivate your Services account. If you can deactivate your own account, that setting is available to you in your account settings. Otherwise, please contact your administrator. If you are an administrator and are unable to deactivate an account through your administrator settings, please contact us at . Please be aware that deactivating your account does may not necessarily delete your information; your information may remain visible to other Service Collaborators based on your past participation within the Services.
6.4 Information Deletion. KROZU’s Services and related documentation provide you with the ability to delete certain information about you from within the Service. For example, you can remove content that contains information about you using KROZU’s search and editing tools associated with that content, and you can remove certain profile information within your dashboard profile settings. However, it should be noted that we may need to retain certain information for record keeping purposes, to complete transactions or to comply with our legal responsibilities.
6.5 Request KROZU to Desist Using Your Information. In certain cases, you may request KROZU to stop accessing, storing, using and otherwise processing your information where you believe KROZU does not have the appropriate rights to do so. For example, if you believe a Services account was created for you without your permission or you are no longer an active Collaborator (user), you can request that we delete your account as provided in this Policy. Where you gave us consent to use your information for a limited purpose, you can contact us to withdraw that consent, but this will not affect any processing that has already taken place at the time. You can also opt-out of our use of your information for promotional purposes by contacting us, at . When such a request is conveyed, KROZU may need time to investigate and facilitate your request. If there is delay or dispute as to whether KROZU has the right to continue using your information, we will restrict any further use of your information until the request is honored or the dispute is resolved, provided your administrator does not object where applicable.
6.6 Opt-Out. You may opt out of receiving promotional communications from us by contacting us at , in order to change your email preferences concerning your Service account settings menu, and to have contact information removed from our promotional email list or registration database. Even after you opt out from receiving promotional messages from KROZU, you will continue to receive transactional messages from KROZU regarding our Services. You can opt out of some notification messages in your account settings. Please be advised, you may continue to receive certain generic ads.
7. Changes to KROZU’s Privacy Policy.KROZU may make changes as deemed necessary to this Privacy Policy from time to time, at our discretion. If any material changes are made, KROZU will notify you via email at the e-mail address you have specified in your account or by posting the revised Privacy Policy on KROZU’s Services prior to any changes becoming effective. It is your responsibility to review our Privacy Policy each time you access and use KROZU’s Services. Your continued use of the Services following the posting of any changes or notice to you of the changes constitutes your agreement to such changes. If you disagree with any changes to this privacy policy, you will need to stop using the Services and deactivate your account(s), as outlined above.
8. Your California Privacy Rights. We do not share your Personal Information with third parties for their direct marketing purposes without your consent.
9. EU Data Collection Protection Notice
9.1 Focus. This section applies when KROZU acts as the controller of personal data (referred to in this Policy as Personal Information) and the processing of such Personal Information is governed by prevailing regulations concerning this data.
9.2 Collected Information. The Personal Information KROZU collects has been described in more detail included herewith this Policy. The categories of Personal Information KROZU collects includes but may not be limited to name, contact information, account, and billing information, usage information, and transaction information. As part of you providing KROZU with the requested personal data, we use cookies and other tracking technologies, described in more detail included herewith this Policy, about collection of the data.
9.3 Use of Collected Information. KROZU uses collected Personal Information for the following purposes, but may not be limited to, which are described in more detail included herewith this Policy:
- Create and maintain your personal account
- Provide personalized KROZU Services in conjunction with your Personal Information
- Bill you for use of KROZU’s Services
- Verification of your identity and provision for fraud prevention
- Enforce our Terms of Service, protect and improve the KROZU Site and Services
- Develop and improve new and current features and functionalities for KROZU’s Services
- Continued Provision of customer and technical support
- Issuance of marketing and other communications about KROZU’s ongoing business and Services
- If permitted, KROZU may also send you marketing and other communications concerning our partners and their offered services.
9.4 Shared and Disclosed Information. We may share or disclose your personal data, as described in more detail included herewith this Policy:

9.5 Legal Basis’. The legal basis for KROZU to process your personal data (Personal Information) under appropriate regulatory requirements for applicable processing, is necessary for KROZU, to comply with performance of our contact with you in order to effectively provide you the Services requested and subscribed to. We also rely on our legitimate interest in understanding how Collaborators interact with our Site and Services and to promote and improve KROZU’s Services. KROZU relies on your consents to send you marketing and other communications about our partners and their offered services.
9.6 Security. KROZU follows generally accepted industry standards concerning the protection of your personal data, as described in more detail included herewith this Policy. KROZU has in place appropriate administrative, technical and physical safeguards to ensure protection of your personal data against accidental or unlawful destruction, accidental loss, unauthorized alteration, unauthorized disclosure or access, misuse, and any other unauthorized form of processing of your personal data in KROZU’s possession. 10. Transfer of Internationally Collected Information
KROZU is headquartered and located in the United States. When you submit your Personal Information via our Site or to KROZU’s Services, the data will be transferred to the United States to conform to KROZU’s required performance of our contract with you to provide subscribed Services.
